Wet Chemical Extinguishers
Suitable for use on cooking oil fires (can also be used on wood, paper, textiles etc.)
The wet chemical extinguisher is a recent introduction to the fire extinguisher range and was designed in response to the re-classification of cooking oil fires from Class B to Class F. Traditional methods of extinguishing cooking oil fires (using foam, powder or CO2) were not totally satisfactory in preventing re-ignition.
Wet chemical extinguishers contain a specifically formulated solution which cools and saponifies the burning oil, completely sealing the surface and preventing re-ignition.
The 6 litre wet chemical extinguisher will deal with up to 75 litres of burning oil.
Available sizes: 6 litres and 3 litres.
