The Fire Extinguisher Man

The Fire Extinguisher Man was established in April 1997 by John Harvey. John has decided to retire from the business and the business was purchased on 8th July 2019 by Abacus Fire and Security Ltd.

Abacus Fire and Security’s aim is to continue and grow the company based upon the great service John and his team have always provided.

Our first customer was Cambridge Cable Co. (which was absorbed into the NTL organisation, now Virgin Media) and we now have in excess of 500 live accounts across a wide spectrum of industry from the local corner shop, many schools and colleges, warehouse / distribution companies and local authorities including the following:

• Colchester Royal Grammar School
• Ipswich Town Football Club
• Mid-Suffolk District Council
• Colchester Zoo Ltd
